Bio:

Born on the Setsuban Festival Day to heimin parentage in the lands of the Lion Clan, Luten lived a very average life. He toiled in the fields, wrestled with his brothers, and drank heavily when he had the coin for it. His Lord was a glory-hounding fool, who pressed many of the male heimin into arms to fight border skirmishes. During a crucial battle, nearly all of the drafted peasantry was lost. The Lord and Luten were the only two who remained. In bitter hate for this pointless conflict, Luten murdered his Lord and stole his katana.

Assumed dead and not the cause for the death of the Lion Lord, Luten suffered very little reproach as he headed off in search of money and drink. He did a stint with the Forest Killers, knocking over trade caravans and feasting on the misery of others. Sometime around his thirtieth year, Luten had left the outfit and founded his own private league with Ti-Lo, a mutilated eta, and Jinwu, the bastard son of a Crab.

Sometime during the Month of the Horse in the year 1062, Luten and the “Band of Wolves” ended up in the service of Crane Favor-Monger Doji Hinto.
